Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale is Coming Soon
Annual used book sale to support children’s literacy programs at Jefferson County Public Library
(Lakewood, Colo. - May 28, 2010) The Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library is hosting its annual Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale June 4–6 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 W. 6th Ave., Golden.

More than 95,000 gently used books, DVDs, CDs, audio books and videos will be available to fill your shelves from 50 cents to $2.50. Children's and teen books will be located on the lower level. Higher priced vintage and better books in Bert's Curiosity Corner are located on the main level.

Sunday is "Bag Day," where $5 buys as many items as you can fit in a bag. Be a good neighbor to Mother Earth. Bring your own bag to promote our "Going Green" effort. Additionally, Curiosity Corner books will be half-priced on Sunday. Friends will also be selling reusable bags for $1.

The Friends of the Library is a countywide organization of volunteers and supporters dedicated to enhancing Library programs and resources. Proceeds from the sale benefit children and teen literacy programs at the Library.

Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, June 6. Admission is free. For more information about the Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale visit www.jeffcolibrary.org/pdf/booksale.pdf or call 303-403-5075.
